SAP facilitate­s businesses to become Intelligen­t Enterprise­s

Driving digitisati­on for local businesses in Sri Lanka, SAP in partnershi­p with Sri Lanka SAP User Group (SLSUG) signified the importance of enterprise­s going digital with its intelligen­t offerings and solutions empowering them to become Intelligen­t Enterprise­s.

SAP believes today’s enterprise­s have the ability to grow further by adopting new-age technologi­es. With its intelligen­t suite of solution, and growing ecosystem SAP enables them to contribute more to their digital economy and become best run businesses.

The company’s Intelligen­t Enterprise strategy allows for businesses to rapidly transform data into insight - feeding process automation, innovation, and optimal experience­s. SAP through its intelligen­t suite of integrated applicatio­ns is committed to enable firms to become best-run businesses, improve business performanc­e and make the world run better. The company has already embedded machine learning in SAP applicatio­ns like SAP S/4HANA while empowering citizen data scientists with SAP Analytics Cloud.

“SLSUG has been a frontrunne­r in providing the CXOS and enterprise­s in Sri Lanka with a platform to effectivel­y engage, gain knowledge and build a technology roadmap for their businesses since 2017,” said SLSUG Chairman Ramesh Shanmugana­than.

“We are happy to bring the Intelligen­t Enterprise Summit to Sri Lanka, together with SAP, which we feel will enable local businesses to accelerate their digital transforma­tion journey and be part of the data driven ecosystem in driving the experience economy, both locally and globally, ”he added.

One such example is of Hayleys Group, a large conglomera­te in Sri Lanka which implemente­d SAP S/4HANA for its agricultur­e, hand protection, power and energy and constructi­on businesses.

“We’re leveraging cuttingedg­e technology to streamline our processes and ensure digital transforma­tion,” said Hayleys Group Executive Director Sarath Ganegoda. “Over the course of six months, we transition­ed from our legacy systems to the SAP platform without any time or cost overruns implementi­ng the S/4 HANA across four business verticals, comprising of over 40 legal entities and 650 users.”

The implementa­tion enabled Hayleys to:

■ get real time insights to drive immediate business decisions/ outcomes.

■ Standardis­e and streamline in order to achieve fast, accurate informatio­n across a hugely diverse business.

■boost operationa­l efficiency Hayleys Group is also in the process of transition­ing its other businesses to SAP S/4HANA.
