I FEEL NOSTALGIC FOR TWILIGHT

Kristen reminisces about the ‘widespread’ success of the vampire movie franchise

-

She is hot on the promotional trail for her new movie, Charlie’s Angels. But Kristen Stewart, 29, was clearly in a reminiscent mood, as she spoke of her time on the Twilight franchise that first catapulted her to fame over a decade ago. Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, which is set to air on Saturday, the talent also gushed about her father John Stewart being her biggest fan, claiming he regularly loves talking about her with his company.

Kristen looked absolutely sensational as she appeared on the show in her signature style of a slick blazer and ripped jeans. Arriving with her Charlie’s Angels co-stars Naomi Scott and Ella Balinksa, Kristen, who plays rebellious agent Sabina Wilson in the action reboot, was noticeably the actress with the most experience. After working consistently in the acting business

since the age of eight, Kristen hit the big time with Twilight, a film adaptation based on Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling vampire novels.

And speaking on the show about that time, Kristen - who starred in the movie franchise with her then beau Robert Pattinson explained: ‘We were really young, I turned 18 on that movie.

I’m really nostalgic for those movies. ‘I’ve never been in anything as popular or widespread and anyone that wasn’t involved in that experience couldn’t really understand it from the inside out so that’s something that we all have,’ she revealed.

Through her career’s high and lows, Kristen has no doubt relied on the support of her parents - especially her father, who works as a stage manager and television producer. Kristen explained: ‘My dad is pretty awesome, he is a bit of a legend. He has a lot of pride and is very vocal about it. He’s a bit of a social butterfly. He talks a lot to people and a lot of the time it’s about me.

‘I’m like, “Dad you’ve got to chill no one cares as much as you!” I feel like he has magazines and stuff on his person sometimes, it’s embarrassing… It’s sweet… I’m really lucky it’s just a silly thing to watch happen.’ Meanwhile, Kristen’s co-star Naomi spoke about having to put on a British accent for Charlie’s Angels.

The star, who is half Gujarati Indian and half British, expressed: ‘It was two weeks before filming that was decided so I had to shift everything. I have to say so much jargon as well, I don’t know what I’m saying half the time in the film.’

‘WE were really young, I turned 18 on that movie. I’m really nostalgic for those movies”
