A group of SLFPERS to join new alliance

UNP MP Sujeewa Senasinghe told a press conference held at Parliamentary complex that a group of SLFPERS and a few new political parties will join the alliance lead by Mr. Premadasa shortly.

He said the alliance will have a new name and a symbol as the result of this.

Also, he said the opinion of the UNP working committee on the appointment of Ranjith Madduma Bandara and the other decisions pertaining to the new alliance will not be important now, as the appointment of Madduma Bandara was approved by the party leader Ranil Wickremesinghe and other MPS who are part of the said committee.

“No one in the working committee will oppose to the decisions,” he said.
