157 kilos of Kerala ganja seized by Navy

Nearly 157 kilograms of Kerala ganja smuggled from India and hidden in midsea off Kankesanturai was seized by the Sri Lanka Navy. A senior Navy officer said the Ganja was found packed in five waterproof bags had been hidden underwater with a buoy to mark the location.

The navy patrol had first detected 43.5 kilos of Kerala ganja and had later detected another 113.7 kilos during a search at the location. The narcotics are to be handed over to the Kankesanturai Police for further action.
