Pillion rider and motorcyclist killed in two road accidents

18-year-old Udahewalage Don Thimira, who was riding on the pillion of a motorcycle was killed and the rider, a soldier injured when their motorcycle and a van collided head-on at Kopiwatte in Welipenna. while 28-year-old Hewage Samira was killed in a collision between the motorcycle he was riding on collided with a car at Aluthgama in Matugama.

The teenager was a resident of Gulawita in Walallavita while the 28-year-old was a resident of Aluthgama in Matugama.

Welipenna police are conducting further investigations.
