Outlook 2020 Forum to feature interactive panel discussion
The Chamber Academy will host Ceylon Chamber’s annual Economic Outlook forum for 2020 on February 10. The event serves as a good opportunity for the private sector to understand the new policy direction of the government and witness the new Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, Deshamanya Professor W.D. Lakshman address the audience, where he will provide his perspective on the macroeconomic outlook for 2020.
The forum will see an interactive panel discussion bringing together experts from diverse fields. Dumith Fernando, Chairman of Asia Securities will delve into the financial and capital markets while providing perspective on the economy. With the turbulence and uncertainty in global trade, it is apt that the panel discussion will focus on the global and local trade development.
This perspective will be provided by Subhashini Abeysinghe, Research Director at Verite Research. Maninda Wickramasinghe, Chief Executive and Country Head of Fitch Ratings Lanka will provide views on the macro and fiscal outlook with insights on growth and reform.
The launch of the Outlook 2020: Economic Growth Vs Stability, a publication by the Economic Intelligence Unit of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will provide insights to the audience on the economic outlook and cover sectors such as construction, FMCG, consumer durables, agriculture, apparel and tourism.
