Tourism State Minister checks on Coronavirus prevention measures

State Minister of Tourism Promotions Arundika Fernando visited the luxury cruise MS Queen Mary on Wednesday to check on the safety measures taken to prevent coronavirus from entering the country.

He had a detailed discussion with the Health Ministry officials and Tourist Police on the precautionary measures undertaken to beat the virus.

Luxury cruise ship MS Queen Mary 2 marked its maiden voyage to Colombo on Monday.

The luxury cruise ship arrived at Colombo East Terminal carrying more than 3,800 passengers and crew, and was welcomed by officials from the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau.
