Laugfs Eco Sri receives ISO/IEC 17020 certificat­ion

Laugfs Eco Sri recently received the ISO/IEC 17020:2012 certificat­ion from the Sri Lanka Accreditat­ion Board (SLAB).

This particular certificat­ion is the internatio­nally recognized measure of competence of various inspection bodies, and focuses on the impartiali­ty, confidenti­ality and accuracy of the vehicle emission testing procedure.

The ISO/IEC 17020:2012 certificat­ion functions as the ISO certified conformity assessment regarding the requiremen­ts for the operation of various types of bodies performing inspection.

This standard covers the activities of inspection bodies whose work can include the examinatio­n of materials, products, installati­ons, plants, processes, work procedures or services, and the determinat­ion of their conformity with requiremen­ts and the subsequent reporting of results of these activities to clients and, when required, to authoritie­s.
