Vivo continues to amaze users with innovation in mobile photography

-

From candid snapshots to sleek ad campaigns and everywhere in between, smartphone photography has advanced rapidly in a few short years. Vivo, the global smartphone brand, has been amongst the pioneer in mobile photography revolution; the innovative camera settings of the recently introduced V17 Pro and S1 Pro stand testaments to Vivo’s iconic photography settings.

As mobile photography is no longer limited to food shots and selfies, smartphone photography is a great way to capture the world around you. These days, even professional photographers rely heavily on their smartphones while capturing images. Vivo Mobile Lanka, as a mobile manufacturer, has always catered to the consumer demands and has focused on the innovation of their smart devices to enhance and encourage the photography skills of the Vivo mobile users. Under the current circumstances while users are limited to their homes during the mandatory stay-at-home, they were provided with an opportunity to collate their mobilephotographs on the #vivography Facebook group, providing an online platform for the users to showcase their mobile photographs that were shot through a Vivo smart device. In the future, the company plans to organise many skill development campaigns for these #vivographers.

“Smartphones are more popular than ever and many people are switching to them to take their holiday snaps and fill their family photo albums. Your best camera is the one that is always with you, it is small enough to fit in your pocket and lightweight so it won’t break your back. As we continue the journey towards providing innovative surprises to consumers with cuttingedge technology in terms of our camera settings, we have already produced devices with industry-leading cameras in phones that meld intricate optics and sensors with software algorithms that rely upon math and science to extract the best possible light, colour and detail out of every scenario,” highlighted Vivo Mobile Lanka CEO Kevin Jiang.

Smartphones cause photography boom

According to estimates by Infotrends, more than 1.2 trillion digital photos will be taken worldwide, that is roughly 160 pictures for every one of the roughly 7.5 billion people inhabiting planet earth. And almost 85 percent of all pictures taken will be captured on smartphones.

Gen Z: An important group of photography consumers

According to the study by Keypoint Intelligence, 80 percent of Gen Z respondents said that a smartphone is their primary camera. Not surprisingly, about 45 percent of the Gen Z panel considers themselves to be a snapshot photographer. Or one who takes photos for the fun of the moment. At Vivo we have always ensured that it is more convenient to click photographs on your smartphones and instantly upload them to your social media accounts. This is why we pay a special focus in developing smart devices that enable more flexibility in mobile photography,” added Jiang.

Vivo has introduced Vivo S1 Pro and V17 Pro in Sri Lanka in the recent past, both devices holds groundbreaking camera settings. Vivo S1 Pro has a Quad camera setup with a combination of a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, eight-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 wide-angle lens and a two-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f/2.4 lens. It comes with 32-megapixel AI selfie camera with an f/2.0 lens. Additionally, the flagship vivo V17 Pro launched earlier in 2019, featured the world’s first 32MP dual elevating front camera, along with revolutionary features including FHD and Super

AMOLED Ultra Fullview Display, professional-grade 48MP AI Quad Camera. The users are able to capture selfies despite low-light and not worry about any loss of details. The main 48MP rear shooter and 13MP telephoto sensors enable high-end photography with its enhanced ability in HDR, exposure and colours all being on point. Innovation, being one of the core values of Vivo, very soon Vivo will launch a new model in the V series to elevate your camera game.

Priyantha Bandara, a professional photographer in Sri Lanka, has already experienced the revolution of the Vivo camera settings with his Vivo S1 Pro.

“Being a travel and landscape photographer, I’m constantly on the move and I always end up coming across many elements that I want to capture with my third eye, the subjects that catch my eyes are random and are of spontaneous occurrence. My Vivo S1 Pro is always with me and unlike other heavy equipment, it’s easy to handle. When I shoot a photo from my S1 Pro, I get to edit it instantly and share it online with my friends right away. This is great flexibility for me as most of the time, when I shoot from other cameras, I tend to lose interest in post-processing. Leading many incredible shots to be disregarded or forgotten amidst many captures I make. Using Vivo S1 Pro has unleashed a whole different side of my photography and I have built my own style of mobile photography through it,” stated Priyantha Bandara.
