NIRANJANI SHANMUGARAJAH
The biggest achievement in my career is undoubtedly ‘Tsunami’ which was being screened successfully when halls were forced to close down due to this pandemic. Losing my income as a TV presenter as well has added to my distress. But I am so lucky that so many caring friends of mine – Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims and Christians, ensured that I never stayed in hunger. They kept on inquiring about me and almost brought everything I needed to survive. It is such a beautiful feeling to be loved so much. Corona has taught us the value of respecting mother nature and loving each other as true human beings. I am a person who loves to stay at home. After 15 years I got a chance of staying with my mother, relishing her food and enjoying her warmth. We must all act responsibly and stay safe for the safety of everyone.
