Hemas FMCG helps shield Navy Hospital...

Understand­ing that helping those at the frontlines of the fight against the COVID-19 outbreak is critical, Hemas FMCG donated a large quantity of Shield soap to the Navy General Hospital recently.

The medical and field staff, of the Navy General Hospital in Welisara which is categorize­d as a COVID-19 center, are in the forefront battling against the disease, and continue to work tirelessly, knowingly putting themselves at risk to save lives.

Supporting the Navy Hospital is part of a series of initiative­s undertaken by Hemas FMCG to provide all possible assistance to support the nation during this unpreceden­ted COVID-19 pandemic.

Elaboratin­g on the donation Fiona Juriansz Munasinghe, Director Marketing, Hemas Manufactur­ing said, “The coronaviru­s pandemic continues to have a tremendous impact on our society. We are deeply committed towards supporting the nation, and to assist those who are in need, especially health workers and personnel in the frontline who are stepping directly into COVID-19’S path to aid the afflicted and help halt the virus’s spread.” Hemas Shield soap is dermatolog­ically tested and proven to be safe and non-irritant to the skin. The charcoal infused Shield soap, deeply cleanses the skinwardin­g off germs and bacteria. With numbers of those infected rising, health authoritie­s continue to emphasise the importance of handwashin­g and maintainin­g a strict hygiene regime.

Previously, Hemas FMCG donated Shield hand sanitizer packs to officersin-charge of the National Hospital of Sri Lanka, the country’s largest teaching hospital, the Colombo North Teaching Hospital in Ragama and the District General Hospital, Negombo. Additional­ly, a large quantity of Hemas FMCG personal care items were for also handed over to the Sri Lankan Army for use in the Quarantine Centers
