Crysbro Next Champ surpasses 100th episode on Sri Lankan TV

-

Premier Sri Lankan poultry producer Crysbro surpassed yet another milestone of its landmark CSR campaign, Crysbro Next Champ, when the 100th episode of its weekly programme aired on Sri Lankan television.

Presented by the well-known motivational speaker Bathiya Arthanayake, Crysbro Next Champ is telecasted every Saturday at 9:30 p.m., on Channel Eye.

Throughout each highly engaging 20-minute episode, Crysbro Next Champ profiles previously untapped sporting talent from schools and institutions all over the country – particularly those in rural settings. It gives them a chance to share their victories and backgrounds with a broader audience, connecting them with potential opportunities in the wider sporting community.

The segment also goes on to cover the technical know-how behind the respective sport as shared by a master coach. Each entertaining and potent episode ends with an interview with star athletes, who have gone on to make massive strides for their motherland, in international arenas.

Speaking of their latest milestone, Crysbro Marketing Head Amores Sellar said, “Crysbro Next Champ was launched to identify and foster untapped sporting potential from all across the island. The weekly televised programme therefore was our way of bringing these valuable talent onto a national screen while promoting the spirit and technical know-how of certain sports. With the Next Champ initiative getting bigger with each passing year, we are delighted to have surpassed this particular milestone. We are deeply committed to continue investing in this front as we firmly believe that it is vital to support the dreams and aspirations of Sri Lanka’s younger generation.”

Crysbro Next Champ recognises and rewards young sporting talent from all corners of the country. Additionally, it provides these budding athletes from multiple sporting disciplines with guidance from experts on aspects such as proper training methods and a suitable diet.

The project’s founding vision sought to bolster Crysbro’s already significant social contribution as a vital pillar of the country’s rural economy by creating sporting opportunity and promoting the message of staying physically and mentally active. In the coming years, Crysbro intends to amplify the project’s effectiveness by extending the rewards, recognition and support it offers to all the chosen athletes.

Established in 1972 with just 100 chicks and a deep desire to be a market leader in quality and innovation, Crysbro has emerged as Sri Lanka’s first and most sophisticated, fully verticallyintegrated poultry producer. Its operations span grandparent and parent farms, hatcheries, broiler farms and feed mills.

This thriving ‘farm-to-fork’ concept has formed the core of its success. In turn, it has yielded unprecedented benefit for numerous stakeholders including direct and indirect employees, outgrowers, domestic maize farmers and ultimately Sri Lankan consumers.
