-

Bringing in the convenience and affordability factors to your shopping experience, renowned e-commerce platform Catchme.lk recently opened doors to its superstore in the heart of Colombo.

The store, located at No: 248, Galle Road, Colombo 4, was declared open amidst a gathering of family, friends and well-wishers.

Speaking at the opening ceremony Catchme.lk Founding Partner Afthab Azeez noted, “During the recent lockdown, Catchme.lk was able to transform our product portfolio from electronics, household items and novelties to essentials, groceries and other household necessities as well. Our network of more than 100,000 customers relied on us during the lockdown to provide them with daily essentials and while working on stocking and warehousing and delivery we found a need for a superstore concept, where one could walk in and purchase a variety of items under one roof.”

“The superstore concept that we have developed houses groceries and household essentials and many of our products that are available online in one place. It is the ideal setting for customers who prefer to look and feel prior to making a purchase. We also chose a convenient and easily accessible location with ample parking to give customers added value. Our end goal is to create a loyal customer base, who come in for their daily, weekly and monthly needs and shop as a family,” added Catchme.lk Founding Partner Siddeek Azeez.

A fully-owned subsidiary of the Katalyst group that was established in 2012, Catchme.lk is a household name among online shoppers, specifically for its cost-effectiveness and superior aftersales service.

Catchme.lk now serves customers islandwide and spans product categories like FMCG, electronics, clothing, accessories, household equipment and much more. The first store and pick-up point was conveniently located on Duplication Road, Colombo 4 and the second exclusive experience store was declared open at One Galle Face Mall last year.

“Lessons we learnt in consumer buying patterns have been put into practice at our new superstore. We have also adhered to all health and safety regulations and continue to educate our staff and customers on the required safety measures while shopping within the superstore. We are also very excited to be introducing a range of new brands to our portfolio, including a wide range of chocolates and confectionaries that are sure to be favourites among young and old shoppers alike,” said Katalyst Group Chief Technical Officer and Director Damitha Ginigadarage.
