Dinner with friends

Mary, Dharshi and I enjoyed one of our dinners together at a popular venue by the sea. It was full but fortunately Mary had booked a table. We always enjoy each other's company; both of them are irrepressibly upbeat, endlessly positive, resolutely optimistic and always find something nice to say about a person. In these uncertain depressing times when life is changing at a rapid pace, it's good to be in such company, when conversation is pleasant and amusing; not gossip, backbiting or spiteful. The sound and sight of the sea were an additional bonus, which never fail to fill me with a deep sense of tranquillity.
