IF I COULD TURN BACK TIME ....

As adults we have busy schedules, balancing work and family does tend to be a juggling act and making time for our family is a well coordinated mind boggling dance. Yes we look after our children, we do the basic care and maintenance but do we really spend time with them? I understand that this little picture of encouragement is about us as adults giving our time to others... and in this case a child. But also remember that it is also the child who is giving us their precious moments, and these minutes of life spent are limited.

For there will be a time, as they get older, their interests will change and their life's adventures will take them from your home...and unless you worked and you built those moments of understanding and closeness with your child, and when all the hoopla in your life has slowed down and time tick tocking on the mantle piece in an empty house is all that you have in abundance,..it will be nice for your children to give you some of theirs.

Your time might be precious right now, but that whatsapp convo can wait, insta will always be there when you return later...instead take those precious minutes out of your five year old's life to listen to the latest antics on the playground or sit with your new teen and listen to their woes of the world, it only takes a few minutes make a child happy, use your time wisely.
