KHHM : POST COVID RELIEF DISTRIBUTION
Distributing 235 emergency food relief packages for the students of Korea Lanka School of Hospitality and Hotel Management (KHHM) took place in Wattala, recently. The chief Guest Dhammika K. Wijayasighe, the Director General of Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority highly appreciated the generosity of two organisations Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and Good Partners, a Non-government Organisation in South Korea for arranging emergency food relief packages for the students.
Ms Samudra Subasinghe, the Assistant Procurement Specialist and K.A.P. Kandawala, the Assistant Programme Manager graced the occasion representing Employment Linked Training Programme (ELTP), and two teachers in charge of 13th year programme in Wattala St. Anthony's College and Sapugaskanda M.V. were present. Pastor Thomas Kang, the Director of Hope Center and Harshi Abeynayaka of EFEC Project, Sanasa International were the other invitees.
Prabodh Kulatunga, the Director General of KLSHHM welcomed the guests and he expressed his gratitude to KOICA and Good Partners for their valuable contribution to Sri Lanka by establishing the Hotel School, KLSHHM for Sri Lankan Youths coming from low income families. He further thanked them for arranging a series of events to bring relief to the students of hotel school who have undergone a lot of difficulties during Covid 19 pandemic.
125 students and some parents took part in the event, and transport facilities were provided for the students who reside in Colombo, Gampaha districts and suburbs to take their food packages to their places.
