Will notify regarding Sunday masses: Colombo Archdiocese Sunday masses were not affected by the new development

A decision on allowing Sunday masses at Catholic Churches in Gampaha including Divulapitiya and Minuwangoda will be made after monitoring the situation by next Friday, a spokesperson for the Colombo Archdiocese said yesterday.

“Sunday masses were not affected by the new development regarding COVID-19 yesterday. It has been notified that things might be back to normal by next Friday. Therefore, we will have to wait till Friday to see whether the Sunday Services will be allowed next week, Spokesman for the Archdiocese Fr. Camilus Perera told Daily Mirror.

Minuwangoda and Divulapitiya came under a lockdown after a COVID-19 patient was found yesterday while universities and schools in the area were also closed.
