21 under quarantine in North

21 people have been placed under home quarantine in Punguduthivu in Jaffna after two apparel factory workers from Brandix had travelled home after a 39 year old worker and her daughter from the same apparel plant tested positive for COVID - 19 yesterday.

Those placed under quarantine include the two workers who are aged 32 years.

One of the workers had travelled home by public bus on Thursday while the other employee had travelled by bus and reached Punguduthivu last morning.

The company had informed them to self quarantine immediately while both employees underwent a PCR test last night. Results of the tests are expected today.
