Suradaru

A Voice For Voiceless Children

-

Child abuse is a grave crime that still prevails in this country and many parts of the world. It can have long time effects on the future of children and the society as a whole.

A group of popular artistes in this country has formed a forum called ‘Suradaru’ to support and be the voice for these innocent, unheard little victims in our society.

Suradaru organised a special programme at the Independence Square in Colombo recently to coincide with World Children’s Day to create awareness among children and elders about this vulnerable section of our society. Suradaru will be organising a series of events in the coming weeks to educate people about this serious crime against children and how to eradicate it from society.
