The Mahinda Ra­japaksa In­ter­na­tional Air­port (MRIA) yes­ter­day con­firmed that the pas­sen­gers who ar­rived on Septem­ber 22,were fa­cil­i­tated fol­low­ing all health author­ity guide­lines,mria Oper­a­tions Di­rec­tor She­han Su­manasek­era said.

While is­su­ing a clar­i­fi­ca­tion re­gard­ing the ar­rival of char­ter flight UL-1160 on Septem­ber 22, he said all pas­sen­gers were sent for quar­an­tine at Kos­goda Sher­a­ton Ho­tel un­der the purview of the Sri Lanka forces. He fur­ther re­it­er­ated that all pas­sen­gers (48) of the sub­jected flight were Sri Lankans ori­gin and none were of In­dian ori­gin. How­ever, Brandix Ap­parel Lim­ited on Wed­nes­day is­sued a state­ment that no par­ties from In­dia or any other coun­try had ac­cess to the Minuwangod­a fa­cil­ity. Also they said the pas­sen­gers were Sri Lankan em­ploy­ees. They had un­der­gone the 28 day quar­an­tine pro­ce­dure. Their fam­i­lies were brought back via char­tered flights.
