It was clear that the jackal is ra­biesin­fected

A one-yearold in­fant had been bit­ten by a ra­bies-in­fected jackal on Wed­nes­day (7) evening in the Ho­rana area, the Po­lice said.

?? ?? The child who was at­tacked by the Jackal had been play­ing in­side the house with her brother and sis­ter, In­stantly the Jackal had sprung up and bit­ten the right foot of the in­fant. Her loud screams while car­ry­ing the child out of the house had forced the Jackal to flee from the site sens­ing dan­ger. A group of vil­lagers had later tracked down and killed the jackal.
