Journalist: When did the three flights come from India bringing the workers?

Answer: The three flights were on 25th June, 8th August and 22nd September respective­ly.

Journalist: Can you give details of the flight?

Answer: The three flights were on 25th June with 168 passengers, 8th August with 125 passengers, and 22nd September with 48 passengers. All these flights landed in Mattala.

Journalist: How many passengers were brought down?

Answer: Response given above.

Journalist: Weren’t there any foreigners amongst them?

Answer: There were no foreign nationals on board any of these flights. The passengers were our Sri Lankan team members who work in our Apparel Park in India and their families.

Journalist: Where did they undergo the 14-day mandatory quarantine?

Answer: All the passengers were quarantine­d at the Blue Water Hotel Wadduwa, Sheraton Hotel Kosgoda and Long Beach Hotel Koggala, which are all government authorised and regulated quarantine centres

Journalist: Was any material required for the manufactur­ing process brought down from India?

Answer: Our facility in Minuwangod­a does not use any fabric from India.

Journalist: Are all the workers who got Covid 19 are from one factory or are there any reported cases in other factories as well?

Answer: We have thus far had COVID-19 positive employees from our facility in Minuwangod­a and one other employee from our facility in Welisara.
