Save the Waves to­gether with Marine En­vi­ron­ment Pro­tec­tion Author­ity spon­sors five beach care­tak­ers

Save the Waves foun­da­tion, a beach clean­ing ini­tia­tive funded and raised by Dell Tech­nolo­gies re­cently signed a MOU with Marine En­vi­ron­ment Pro­tec­tion Author­ity (MEPA) to spon­sor five beach care­tak­ers from low­in­come fam­i­lies.

The MOU was signed be­tween Ruwan Ga­m­age, Mar­ket­ing Man­ager of Dell Tech­nolo­gies, Dhar­shani

La­han­da­pura, Chair­per­son of MEPA, Dr. P.B. Ter­ney Pradeep Ku­mara, Gen­eral Man­ager of MEPA and A.J.M. Gu­nasekara, Deputy Gen­eral Man­ager of MEPA.

Each spon­sored care­taker was as­signed to clean a nearby beach stretch from Uswatakeiy­awa, In­duruwa, Ka­lu­tara, Wellawatta and Waikkal beaches con­stantly for a 1-year pe­riod.
