Manuthi Nelumya making tuneful progress

-

Gifted child artiste Manuthi Nelumya who has proven her singing prowess via programmes like Little Star, recently launched her maiden solo creation ‘Sulange Paawee’ penned by Indu Madhubala.

The Anuradhapura Sri Rahula College Grade 4 student who started singing from her early childhood made a name for herself via Little Star.

“I won the second place in the Little Star competition. I remember singing ‘Mihikatha Nalawala’ as my first song in this contest. Most of my teachers, relatives and friends are happy about my first solo song ‘Sulange Paawee’. They want me to do more songs. I want to be a good classical singer when I grow up,” she said.

Manuthi will also be featured in the ongoing weekend programme ‘Sarigama’.
