Urged to update employee database

All government and private institutions are requested to update their employee data base within three-days, Police Spokesman Ajith Rohana said yesterday.

He said an updated data base of employees was extremely vital given the current health situation in the country.

“With the detection of COVID-19 within the Minuwangoda garment factory, the security and health services found it difficult to find the current addresses and telephone numbers of the employees. Therefore, we urge all institution heads to update the details of their employees,” DIG Rohana said.

He said the employee details should include permanent and temporary addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and a telephone number to contact a person concerned in case the given phone number was not operative.
