COVID-19 HAS NO RESPECT FOR PERSONS

- NIHAL DE ALWIS

If what is claimed by the “BRANDIX” management is correct, then there is definitely a fault in the medical procedure we are expected to follow as laid down by the medical authorities. Public Health Inspectors have very boldly stated that “NONE” of their officers had been made aware of or been utilised for the alleged checks that the BRANDIX management claims. then who did it, is a “BIG QUESTION”. PERHAPS the GMOA & other professional organisations should pressurise the Government to appoint an independent team of investigators to expose what went wrong, to enable us to improve on the systems and prevent any future failures.

Is the Government, which lays down rules, entitled to relax them when they need to? For instance their exempting a “CHINESE HIGH Powered” delegation from our laid down procedures is a good example. with the latest technology it would have been prudent for the government to conduct a discussion or conference without the delegation travelling to SRI LANKA.WE must realise that so many lives are at “RISK” with this rash and negligent conduct causing immense hardships to the poor and needy as “COVID 19 HAS NO RESPECT FOR PERSONS”. AS regards this incident, the “ARMY COMMANDER”, THE HEALTH MINISTER, MEDICAL HEAD, POLICE SPOKESMAN, (WHO keeps repeating about penalties and jail terms etc.) have failed to address this issue by making public statements ! Why?
