Covid-19 cases in Minuwangoda cluster climb to 1,899

110 tested positive yesterday

• TOTAL CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASES IN SRI LANKA STANDS AT 5,354

A total of 110 Covid-19 cases were reported from the Minuwangoda factory cluster yesterday increasing the total number of positive cases detected from the cluster to 1,899, the health authorities said.

Among the positive cases, 38 were from the quarantine centres while the other 72 were reported as close associates of Brandix employees.

Accordingly, the total confirmed Covid-19 cases in Sri Lanka stood at 5,354 with 1,956 active cases.
