CR & FC loses Omalka to CH
Omalka Gunaratne, the former captain of Isipathana College who has also led Sri Lanka at Under-20 level, signed for CH & FC for the 2020/21 club rugby season crossing over from cross-town rivals CR & FC.
Gunaratne captained CR & FC last season, having previously joined the club from Navy SC.
The Number 08 will not be the only player making the switch between the rival clubs, with Kevin Dixon, Wajid Fahmy, Janidu Dilshan, Joel Perera, Panduka Angammana and Sharmala Weerasekera all crossing over from the Red Shirts.
CH & FC will be led by former Thomian and National Sevens skipper Sudarshana Muthuthanthri. They will be coached by national Junior Assistant coach and former Thurstan College coach, Rohitha Rajapakse.
