Aitken Spence Elevators and Rotary donate sinks to Colombo Medical Faculty

Aitken Spence Elevators together with the Rotary Club of Colombo Fort donated seven sinks to the Medical Faculty of Colombo, on October 6, 2020.

Three of t he seven sinks were installed at three entrances leading to the medical faculty, which accommodat­es 1200 students, including approximat­ely 200 outpatient­s, who visit the clinics and labs of the faculty daily.

Further two sinks were installed at the entrance of the Bloemfonte­in hostel, which accommodat­es approximat­ely 300 medical students.

The balance two sinks were installed at the De Saram hostel, catering to 150 medical students.

This venture is considered a timely exercise, with the new onset of the community spread of COVID-19 in Sri Lanka.

The handing over was undertaken by Aiken Spence Elevators COO Chaminda Hinduranga­la together with Rotary Club of Colombo Fort President Sashini Ambagahawi­ta to Medical Faculty Dean Prof. Vajira Dissanayak­e and Head of Urology Department of Anatomy Prof. Ajith Malalaseke­re.
