New Directors for Criminal, Terrorist and Crime Divisions

New Directors had been appointed for the main investigat­ion division of the police department including the Criminal Investigat­ion Department (CID), Terrorist Investigat­ion Division (TID), Crime Division and Illegal Assets Investigat­ion Division.

Accordingl­y, senior Superinten­dent of Police (SSP) Nishantha de Zoysa has been appointed as the new Director of the CID while former CID Director SSP A.R.P.J.DE Alwis had been appointed as Director TID.

SS PT. G. N. W. D. THALLUWA who was the Director TID had been appointed as the Director of the Crime Division and SSP W.R.L.K. Karunakala­ge was transferre­d as personal assistant to the DIG in charge of the South from the post of Director Crimes Division. SSP K.g.l. geethal had been appointed as the Director of Illegal Assets Investigat­ion Unit from the post of Director of Tourism Division while SSP Mrs. r.a.d. kumari was appointed as the Director of the Child and Women Abuse Prevention Bureau from the CID.

Acting SS PK.g.a.k.piy as e kara has been appointed Director of Tourism Division while R.a.r.n. rajapak saw as appointed as the Director of Special functions of the Office of the President of the Environmen­tal Division.

Meanwhile, dig M.n.sisira Kumara transferre­d as DIG in charge of Colombo District, dig L.p.s.p.s an dun ga haw at te was transferre­d from the post of DIG in charge of the Ratnapura District to DIG in charge of the Tourism Division, dig D.r.s.r. na ga ham ulla transferre­d to Ratnapura District from DIG Colombo, dig S.c. medawatta was transferre­d as DIG Human Resources Management, Recruitmen­t, examinatio­n sand Internatio­nal Relations Division while the transfer of L.A. Seneviratn­e from the post of DIG in charge of the Vanni to the post of DIG in charge of the Tourism Division has been cancelled.

Police said four ASPS,18 Chief Inspectors and an Inspector were also among the transferre­d based on service requiremen­ts.
