DSI Tyres Company, pioneer and the leader in the tyre world, has through constant innovation and research, introduced high-quality products and has increased its manufacturing and production capacity by 60 percent.

The company constantly aims to make the customers’ driving experience a smooth and convenient one. It has a 60 percent stake in the motorcycle tyre market and a 55 percent hold in the three-wheeler tyre market, thereby becoming the market leader and trusted brand of customers.

In the past, deaths due to motor vehicle accidents in Sri Lanka increased rapidly (in 2019, there were 2,839 such deaths). The majority of such deaths were due to motorcycle-related accidents, which took place at night (in 2019, there were 1,162 such deaths). Providing a solution to this, DSI Tyres Company, by using new technology, introduced the Gen X motorcycle tyre, which was manufactured and produced according t o scientific research, to contain a special pattern of cut grooves.

The Gen X tyre has also been manufactured and produced with a Neon Effect that allows for the driver to be identified easily at night. Its carbon silicon composition ratio creates a low friction effect on the tyre and allows for better fuel savings.

Targeting long distance travel, in addition to motorcycle tyres with the Xtreme tread design, FZ Bikes and Scooter Bikes have been fitted with a variety of tyres such as those of the sizes 140/60-17, 140/70-17, 100/80-17, 110/80-12 and 110/80-10.

It is DSI Tyre Company that introduced Sri Lanka’s first tubeless tyre for threewheelers named ‘Kadisara’. It is special to note that one can order online for the supply and fitting of DSI Tyres in the Gampaha and Colombo districts.

DSI Tyres are successfully exported to over 80 countries worldwide and in the future, it expects to increase the manufacturing and production capacity to increase exports further.

At the SLIM Brand Excellence awards ceremony, DSI Tyres was awarded the Turnaround Brand of the Year 2019 award, along with many other export-related awards.

DSI Tyres provides many employment opportunities and engages in a major effort and service to bring foreign exchange income and revenue to the country whilst also minimising imports.
