Softlogic Glomark partners with Pickme Market

-

Sri Lanka’s pioneering mobility solutions provider Pickme recently partnered with Softlogic Glomark Supermarkets, the country’s first inspirational supermarket chain, offering a global experience.

Under the partnership, groceries and essential items available at the wide network of Glomark outlets will be delivered within five kilometres of the store via the Pickme app to one’s doorstep, within two to three hours on the same day.

The partnership was initiated at a simple ceremony at the Pickme headquarters. Pickme Founder and CEO Jiffry Zulfer said this partnership was a win-win for both the mobility provider as well as Glomark because both companies could enrich each other in a number of aspects, including technology.

“We are glad to be associated with a Glomark, which is currently one of the most sophisticated marketplace for everyday items in the country. Partnerships such as these compel us to look for ways to enhance our own capabilities to deliver to the global standard and expectation.”

Pickme will offer Glomark the entire gamut of delivery and related services through a dedicated fleet of riders.

Meanwhile, Softlogic Chief Executive Officer Andrew Dalby said, “Through this partnership, we hope to serve customers with increased efficiency. We ran a successful trial with Pickme last year and decided to formalise the partnership following the overwhelming positive results and customer feedback. The infrastructure enables customers to track their orders real time and since all operations are handled centrally, customer queries and complaints, if any, are attended to with great efficiency ensuring optimum satisfaction.”

Pickme has an impressive portfolio of clients including Unilever, Nestle, Anchor, Maliban, Richlife, CBL, Velona Cuddles, CIC and many others. Pickme sprang into action with its last-mile delivery facility for businesses with Litro and Lanka Sathosa during the first COVID19 lockdown during which the service catered to over 350,000 households across the country.
