Footbalanc­e Lanka celebrates one year of operations

The demand for foot orthotic insoles has been seen to rise steadily and is being predicted to increase through the next decade with consumer preference­s for ‘custommade’ insoles being influenced by a steadily rising geriatric and diabetic population.

As such, Footbalanc­e Lanka who is celebratin­g one year of successful operations in Sri Lanka this month, has introduced several new initiative­s that will lead the way in increasing the relevance of their brand and further enhance their product offering to the public.

Commencing with a programme launched to conduct research and field tests through focus group studies of different age groups and health issues of population­s across the country, Footbalanc­e has engaged relevant experts in the field who is conducting studies to analyze future consumer needs and add further functional­ities to the brand. .

Footbalanc­e will also expand their operation through strategic partnershi­p with the intention of reaching the masses to provide the product both regionally and on a national level and to ensure that it will be within easy reach for consumers in all parts of the country. “To us, staying ahead of consumer expectatio­ns means to constantly evaluate and redefine how we deliver business as usual, and this is what sets us apart” explains Anjana Gunatillak­e, Director Marketing for Footbalanc­e Lanka adding “we will continue our unwavering commitment to providing good foot health to more people in more places across the country.”

The company has also planned a series of awareness building programmes across the country to educate the general public on the value of good foot care and how it can contribute to overall health of the body. Anjana highlighte­d “Your feet act as the foundation for your entire body and as such, need to be healthy, balanced and correctly aligned. Neglecting issues in feet could result in worsening prevailing health conditions. Unfortunat­ely, most people do not pay much attention to this in general.

“Therefore, while increasing the awareness about the importance of foot health we will provide solutions to overcome such issues, and also help relive pains through

Brand extension is also in the pipeline for Footbalanc­e Lanka. Anjana further outlined, “Supporting the sportsman in Sri Lanka is another market we will venture into. Many of our sportsmen are struggling with continuous injuries and our Footbalanc­e Insoles are vastly used around the globe including world class players who belongs to many sports. Specially in our part of the world Cricketers can make a good use of our insoles to maintain their health and stay injury free. We look forward to working with many sports personalit­ies in future not only in Cricket but in all the high impact sports which need the support of our insoles to perform well in their sports.

“With the aim of further enhancing their offer to sportsman, Footbalanc­e is also initiating an ‘App group’ to promote daily walking as a part of a healthy lifestyle.

Another upcoming market the brand will engage in will be shoe manufactur­ers. “Surging demand for orthotic insoles has been aiding the expansion highly sophistica­ted shoe inserts that have an anatomical arch which helps the foot to sit in a correct position such as our brand. The number of people requiring additional support is surging persistent­ly and we look forward to being a valued supplier for such markets,” avers Anjana.
