Green Energy Champion invites start-ups

-

The fourth edition of Green Energy Champion Sri Lanka kick starts today and invites all energy innovators from across the island for a chance to gain exclusive access to an advanced business accelerator programme (Green Energy Champion Accelerator 2021), which will further prepare them for exciting local and international partnerships in the green energy ecosystem.

All start-ups and SMES are invited to present their creative and innovative products, activities and projects in the areas of sustainable mobility, energy efficiency and renewable energies. The most promising candidates will gain the opportunity to fine-tune and develop their business within the Green Energy Champion Accelerator.

All applicants must have a minimum viable product (MVP) or prototype with the potential to sustain and scale and will be reviewed on the technological viability and market fit of the idea, innovation or product. Following a two-week review and selection process, selected applicants will be on-boarded into the Green Energy Champion Accelerator – where they will be granted six months of intense and immersive training, which includes being mentored by industry experts.

The Green Energy Champion Accelerator will actively support the participants with business and market intelligence to establish and grow their businesses, enable them to identify potential opportunities and take calculated risks for smooth market entry and offer networking opportunities and exposure to potential partnerships, distributors, investors, customers as well as media partners – while simultaneously enabling participants to create a positive impact on the environment, community and economy.

The accelerator programme will be followed by a formal partner matchmaking event – to match local and international partners in the green energy ecosystem and a demo day – to showcase the companies completing the programme.

Green Energy Champion will offer visibility among key political stakeholders such as the Power Ministry, Solar, Wind and Hydropower Generation Projects Development State Ministry and German Federal Foreign Office, while also extending potential penetration opportunities in global markets via the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Sri Lanka.

Those interested can directly apply online or download the application form via www. greenenergychampion.lk.

All applications are welcome till May 14, 2021.
