KFC celebrates Avurudu season in style

With the Sinhala and Tamil New Year festivitie­s still alive, KFC invites you to embrace this festive season in style.

With Cargills bringing a popular global dining experience to the country, KFC Sri Lanka has built a loyal customer base for fusing internatio­nal flavours with well-loved local recipes. Even as a franchise that is loved across the world, KFC aims to stay true to the strong Sri Lankan Avurudu heritage and traditions.

An exciting array of Avurudu Family Combos filled to the brim with crispy chicken, burgers, rice and titbits were on offer to give you the perfect treat for the perfect Avurudu celebratio­n.

Mixing cultural flair with social media, KFC invited fans to share their Avurudu experience through a thrilling social media campaign. Using the famed KFC Chicken Bucket as the centrepiec­e, fans were encouraged to create their own fun dance to the tune of the popular Raban Pada rhythm to be posted on social media.

Moreover, in the spirit of Avurudu, KFC hosted Raban Pada themed festival at the Cargills Square Dematagoda and Gampaha outlets featuring many giveaways for those who took part. To celebrate the festivitie­s and fanfare – in keeping with all the necessary health and safety protocols – a selected number of KFC outlets were buzzing with fun and friendly competitio­n or Avurudu Kreeda, including Placing the Eye on the Elephant, Balloon Blast and Banis Kema.

As families and friends gather at KFC this Avurudu season, there will be no doubt that where there is a KFC, there is happiness, excitement and laughter as well.
