NO SCHOOL, BUT FEES CHARGED

-

One can understand regular students (or their parents) in Government schools having to bear the costs of photo copying or printing some documents sent online to them as lessons by the teachers. Of course, there are protests coming from poor parents of Government Schools as well as teachers that they have to pay out of their pockets for Data charges incur on transferring files get photo copies and/or printouts from Communication centres.

The situation in some Montessori Schools is worse.the Schools are demanding from the parents to settle term fees to send pages from the work-books (for which they have paid and kept in the teachers’ custody) which have to be copied and sent to them as complete “assignments” whatever that means! The irony is that Montessori is demanding Term Fees for the school where no teaching is done for children at least online.on the contrary, the parents are the ones who coach the children!

Some parents have been made to believe that no school would admit a child into the Grade I if they did not attend a Montessori School and therefore it is mandatory that they have to pay the Term Fees in order to qualify to get admittedto Grade I.

Can the Department of Education clear this point please and put an end to this daylight robbery?
