Tree planting programme initiated in Rambukkana town

The prices of essential items had gone through the roof not only in Sri Lanka but also in other countries

State Minister Kanaka Herath participated in a programme recently to plant trees on either sides of roads in the Rambukkana town.the Rambukkana Pradeshiya Sabha and Sri Lanka Podujana Engineering Front cooperated with this project.

Minister Herath said no matter what the government had not stopped development projects such as construction of access roads and highways .

He said the prices of essential items had gone through the roof not only in Sri Lanka but also in other countries. He said he regretted the inconvenience caused to consumers in this regard, and stressed the need to realize the global situation.
