Sri Lanka face Oman in second T20 today

-

Sri Lanka will look to build on the 19-run win on Thursday when they take on Oman in the second T20 at the Al Amerat Cricket Grounds today.

Despite a poor start to their innings which saw them slump to 51 for 4, Sri Lanka posted a competitive total of 162 in the first T20, on the back of halfcenturies from Avishka Fernando (83 not out) and captain Dasun Shanaka (51 not out) who together posted an unbeaten partnership of 111.

Oman themselves were in trouble early in their innings at 54 for 5, but some big hitting from Naseem Khushi and Mohammed Nadeem brought Oman closer to the target than the visitors would have been comfortable with, although Sri Lanka were able to hold on for the win.

Following the second T20 today,

Sri Lanka will face Bangladesh and Papua New Guinea in T20 World Cup warm-up matches before starting the first round of the tournament on October 18.
