Sanath Jayasuriya motivates SL footballers in Male

Former Sri Lanka cricket captain Sanath Jayasuriya delivered a motivational speech to the national football team at their official hotel on an invitation extended by Football

Sri Lanka (FSL) President Jaswar Umar.

During his speech Jayasuriya pointed out a few areas which needed immediate attention including losing temperament under pressure.

The 1996 World Cup winning team member shared his experience on how to handle these tense situations while emphasising on their task at hand to perform and how it can be achieved with sheer determination.

He was further able to share his experience with players on disciplinary and strategic behaviour on the field.

Umar thanked Jayasuriya who has vast experience in the international arena for sparing his time and gracing this occasion on short notice.
