Sanath Jayasuriya motivates SL footballer­s in Male

Former Sri Lanka cricket captain Sanath Jayasuriya delivered a motivation­al speech to the national football team at their official hotel on an invitation extended by Football

Sri Lanka (FSL) President Jaswar Umar.

During his speech Jayasuriya pointed out a few areas which needed immediate attention including losing temperamen­t under pressure.

The 1996 World Cup winning team member shared his experience on how to handle these tense situations while emphasisin­g on their task at hand to perform and how it can be achieved with sheer determinat­ion.

He was further able to share his experience with players on disciplina­ry and strategic behaviour on the field.

Umar thanked Jayasuriya who has vast experience in the internatio­nal arena for sparing his time and gracing this occasion on short notice.
