Former CAA Executive Director lodges complaint over a white van

Thushan Gunawardena, the former Executive Director of the Consumer Affairs Authority has lodged a complaint with the Kirulapone Police regarding suspicious behaviour by an unidentified group in a white van near his house.

In his complaint, he claimed that the suspicious white van had arrived last Thursday morning.

He said that a neighbour had informed him that a person who was in the van had got down from it and checked the number on the gate. Mr. Gunawardena alleged that although he had complained to the CID about a month ago that he had received death threats, the police has not recorded any statement from him.(mudhitha
