I’m pleased and honored to have been invited as the Guest Speaker at ACCA Sri Lanka’s Passed finalists’ and Prize Winners Awards Ceremony, 2021. ACCA Sri Lanka is instrumental in training & upskilling Sri Lanka’s accounting professionals to be valued members of the global finance and accounting fraternity.

In this day an age where uncertainty and unpredictability are the only certainty in business, organizations are seeking subject matter experts with a solid understanding of all aspects of business.

Its hardly an exaggeration to say that Finance & Accounting professionals form the back bone of any organization. The technical expertise, financial discipline, business acumen and ethics, among many other elements, that are brought to the table by a finance professional is of utmost importance to the sustained growth of any business, be it in the private sector or the public sector.

The globally acclaimed ACCA qualification covers all these aspects and more. In that sense, it is not just an accounting qualification but a qualification that moulds an all-round business professional with a strong grounding in Finance & Accounting.

For all those who have passed their ACCA examinations, it is the beginning of a new chapter in their careers.
