National Developmen­t Bank provides best interest rates for SDAS

National Developmen­t Bank PLC (NDB) recently launched a campaign to drive inward remittance­s and investment by providing attractive interest rates for Special Deposit Accounts (SDAS).

Accordingl­y, the bank provides a higher interest rate of 8 percent for a 12-month US dollar SDA, 6.50 percent for GBP and AUD, 5.75 percent for EUR and 4.50 percent for CAD.

Sri Lankan nationals and nonnationa­ls alike, funds and other corporate bodies and any other well-wishers may apply for this hassle-free, convenient and secure account from wherever they are with just an NIC or passport. The bank is constantly striving to make the lives of its clients and stakeholde­rs easier and more convenient.

NDB also introduced the most convenient way in which the bank’s clients can receive money via Western Union, with just one phone call or by sending a message through the NDB NEOS app. The funds received will be credited to the respective individual’s account in just five minutes.

Furthermor­e, NDB is also provided exciting prizes in the form of a free lunch bag for those who receive money at NDB branches via Western Union in the month of April. NDB was also the first bank to introduce an AI technology­based VKYC verificati­on option for opening accounts through its NEOS app for the ease for Sri Lankans based overseas providing a hassle-free banking experience.
