People’s Bank promotes Lankaqr facility in Kurunegala

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka launched another Lanka QR promotional programme in the Kurunegala city and People’s Bank also participated in this programme to raise awareness about the Lankaqr payment system via the People’s Pay app.

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka introduced Lanka QR, the unique payment system, to revolutionise the payment culture in the country by introducing a fast, secure and low-cost digital payment system islandwide.

The event was graced by Central Bank Deputy Governor N.W.G.R.D. Nanayakkara and Assistant Governor D. Kumaratunge. People’s Bank Chief Digital Officer Mangala Kariyawasam, Kurunegala Regional Manager D.M.D. Dissanayake, Assistant Regional Managers Ruwan Gnanathilake, Branch Managers Nishada Gunathilaka, Karuna Herath, business promotion officers of the Gampaha region and the staff of People’s Bank branches participated in this event.
