Making clear about the stand of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) on the political issue, its National Organizer Tissa Attanayake yesterday said the party will support all positive steps taken by a future interim government without accepting any post in such a government.

“We will not participate in any form of discussion till President Gotabaya Rajapaksa also resigns from his post,” he said.

“This was an organized attack and the first accused of the incident is the outgoing Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and we urge the IGP to arrest him,” he added.

Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka said those who attacked the protesters at Mynagogama cannot be dealt with legally.“those perpetrators who attacked the protesters cannot be dealt with legally. Therefore we urge the people to teach them a lesson,” he said.
