Lanka Tiles makes to Brand Finance’s “Most Valuable Consumer Brands Index” again

Sri Lanka’s market leader in floor & wall tiles, Lanka Tiles, made to Brand Finance’s “Most Valuable Consumer Brands Index” yet again in 2022, climbing 10 positions from the previous year. This indicates a 48 percent growth in brand value which is an impressive feat especially under the prevailing economic climate.

Lanka Tiles emerged as the Most Valuable Brand in the ‘Tile’ category cementing its position as the undisputed market leader. Brand Finance is the world’s leading brand valuation consultanc­y that strives to bridge the gap between marketing & finance. The Most Valuable Brands Index is constantly changing with the times to reflect the external changes in the business environmen­t.

Commenting on this achievemen­t, the Managing Director of Lanka Walltiles PLC and Lanka Tiles PLC, Mahendra Jayasekara said, “We are honoured by this recognitio­n and the achievemen­t is particular­ly significan­t given the present context. Lanka Tiles currently ranks at #48 in the Most Valuable Consumer Brands Index, up from #58 in 2021. Mahendra Jayasekara further said that the company’s advancemen­t in the ranking may be attributed to expansion, optimizati­on of technology, advertisin­g & promotion and consolidat­ion of sales channels as remedial measures in the aftermath of backto-back lockdowns due to the Covid-9 pandemic.
