MOTHER’S DAY

-

On Mother's Day we think of our mothers; still with us, or gone to that far distant shore and resting in peace. A mother's love is unique and endless, through childhood and when we are adults, wherever we are. My memories of my mother are how she started her day, bible beside her, saying her prayers. Mothers teach their children the first words they speak, instill the correct values, teach right from wrong, the importance of speaking the truth, showing respect for elders, courtesy, integrity and so on. Today a mother's role is even more important, because of the dangers at every turn and crossing in life. Mothers have to be an example in praising the good, rejoicing in the cheerful, and forgetting the bad and painful issues that their children face today. A child's earliest years are spent mostly with the mother, father's are out at work. What one sees and listens to then, are invariably the impressions, words and deeds that shape our lives, our dreams and our destiny; and what we become in later life.
