Sajith meets Chinese Ambassador

A meeting between Qi Zhenhon, Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka and Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa took place yesterday (11) at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition, where the duo had a lengthy discussion on Sri Lanka’s current situation.

“The situation Sri Lanka is facing at the moment was taken into close consideration at the meeting where Leader of the Opposition called on the Chinese Ambassador to extend hands of brotherhood to Sri Lanka at this critical juncture.” Premadasa’s facebook account said.

“The Leader of the Opposition said that priority will be given in his administration to govern the country in a transparent manner and to eradicate bribery, corruption and repression,” the Opposition Leader’s office said.the Leader of the Opposition said that China’s generous support is essential for Sri Lanka’s recovery from the current predicament and called on the Ambassador to intervene.

Member of Parliament Harsha de Silva was also present at the occasion.
