Qatar to provide three foreign football coaches to Sri Lanka

The Qatar Football Associatio­n has agreed to provide the services of three internatio­nal football coaches to Sri Lanka.

This followed discussion­s Football Sri Lanka (FSL) President Umar Jaswar had with Qatar football officials.

Two coaches will arrive on May 14 or 15 on a three-year contract, Umar told the Daily Mirror.

The salaries of all these coaches will be funded by Aspire Foundation Zone, Qatar on a request made by Jaswar.

The head coach will be former Manchester City player Andrew Morrison and the assistant coach will be Keith Stevens, who has 557 profession­al appearance­s in the English Football League (EFL).

The Qatar Football Associatio­n is also looking to provide a new goal keeper coach in the first week of June.

Sri Lanka has decided to obtain the services of these foreign coaches after terminatin­g the contract of head coach and technical Director Amir Alagic.
