Former netball president Victoria to contest again
The president and secretary of the Netball Federation of Sri Lanka (NFSL) Ranjani Jayakody and Kumudini Gomes respectively have decided not to contest the 2022 election.
The NFSL elections have to be held before May 31 with the date for submitting nominations ending on May 9.
Jayakody and Gomes have not submitted their nominations.
Former NFSL president Lakshmi Victoria is making a bid to become president once again and is being contested by a veteran netball official.
According to the NFSL constitution amendment, the new office-bearers will serve for a period of two years and not one.
Elections will only be held for the position of president, secretary, assistant secretary, treasurer and assistant treasurer.
