Search for lost dogs

Police have initiated investigations to find the puppies that had gone missing from the Carlton garden in Weeraketiya during the recent attack.

Weeraketiya police had recovered one of the puppies from the house of a former Pradeshiya Sabha member (UNP) in the area. The former PS member’s daughter was arrested on suspicion of taking away the puppy.

Police said the three puppies in a kennel had gone missing when a group of individuals attacked the Carlton garden residence belonging to the Rajapaksa family on May 09.
